Nothing to correct yet
This page went up with the site rather than after the first mistake, so the promise exists before it is tested. An empty log here means nothing has needed fixing — not that nothing ever will.
Four kinds of change
The original stands, but useful context was missing. Nothing published was wrong.
The substance was right but the wording could reasonably mislead. Rewritten and flagged.
Something published was factually wrong. The error is stated plainly alongside the fix — the mistake is not deleted.
The claim should not have been made at all. It is withdrawn, and anything that depended on it is reviewed.
What happens when something is wrong
- Say what was wrong — the specific claim, not a vague "an earlier post."
- Say what changed and why, and which source now governs the corrected version.
- Publish it where the mistake lived, at comparable visibility. A quiet edit is not a correction.
- Pause anything downstream — if the error could cause harm, related scheduled content and links stop until reviewed.
- Keep the record, including the original wording. This log is append-only; entries are never removed once posted.
No defensiveness, no burying the update at the bottom of a longer post, and no arguing with the person who caught it.
How to report an error
Bring the exact sentence and, where possible, the source that contradicts it. Precision gets things fixed faster than outrage, and it lets the correction be specific.
